Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion or his full name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. was born in California on October 20, 1971, to Vernell Varnado and Beverly Broadus. His mother got married to Calvin Cordozar Broadus Sr. as Snoop father wasn’t available. He took on the name of his stepfather. His parents were mostly of African descent. He started singing in the church choir at a young age. He started wrapping while in school. His upbringing wasn’t nice as he was reportedly a member of a gang which he later came out to deny. Snoop was arrested at a young age after been found with cocaine. We should also note that he didn’t attend college but he finished his high school education.
