Born as Shaun Roger White on the 3 of September 1986 in San Diego, California to parents, Roger and Cathy White. Shaun also has Italian and Irish ancestry. He has two other siblings. His brother, Jesse White, and sister Kari White. Shaun was born with a very deadly illness, a Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect for which he had to undergo two open-heart operations before the age of one. He attended Torrey Pines High School but dropped out before graduating. While growing up, Shaun enjoyed a well-spent time in the riding Okemo Mountain and Bear Mountain, small ski resorts found in Ludlow, Vermont, and the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. He switched skiing to snowboarding at the age of 6.
Shaun took interest in snowboarding/Skateboarding from a young age. His desire to do well in the sport attracted the attention of Tony Hawk to took him up for mentoring. At age 13, Shaun turned professional and by age 16, he’s gone on and win his First US open. Other of his accolades include the Action Sports Tour Championship. Shaun won 2 gold medals, 2 silver, and a bronze medal at the Summer X Games in Los Angeles, California. In 2002, Shaun made his Winter X Games debut in Aspen, Colorado and won silver in both Superpipe and Sloppy events.
