Her mother is the vice-president for marketing at a global management consultancy firm and her father was a theatre sound engineer from Wolverhampton.
Emilia has an older brother, and they both grew up in Oxfordshire. She attended Rye St. Antony School, Headington, and St. Edward’s School, Oxford, which she later dropped out of in 2005.
Emilia’s interest in acting began to spur early when she was just three years old and used to watch the musical show boat where her father works.
She got rejected by RADA, LAMDA, and Guildhall, and then decided to travel before landing in Centre London where she graduated from in 2009.
