He grew up with two of his siblings in Oak Cliff section of Dallas regarded as one of the poorest parts of the city.
As the only male in a house full of females, he became so attached to his mother that some may be referred to him as mommy’s boy.
He studied at South Oak Cliff High School and later went to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The time he spent at home before gaining admission to college was the period he used to start his professional career.

After the match, he went on to make racist comments about Boston’s player Larry Bird which gathered him some criticisms.

He left for the Chicago Bulls in 1995 coached by Phil Jackson. He had an outstanding season but it was cut short by injury.
In 1996, his team finally won the NBA finals beating Seattle Supersonic in just six games.
He had his best individual career when he signed for the Los Angeles Lakers as he had a better defensive and rebound score.
He has since retired from the game and was inducted into the basketball history.
