Chamillionaire is a Texas-based rapper and entrepreneur whose career began in 2002 but had a major breakthrough in 2005 after releasing his award-winning album ‘The Sound of Revenge‘ under the music label Universal Records.

He has also gone on to release other albums and singles. Apart from music, Chamillionaire is an entrepreneur who owns a modelling agency and also a transport firm. Chamillionaire is currently worth a whopping $25 million.

Chamillionaire whose real name is Hakeem Seriki was born on the 28th of November 2019 in Washington DC to a Nigerian father and American mother.

He was brought up in Houston, Texas and his father a Muslim and mother a Christian got separated when Seriki was still young which didn’t have a positive impact on his upbringing. Chamillionaire had to move into a dangerous neighbourhood and began listening to rap which was against his upbringing.

He became friends with Paul Wall who also was a had an influence on his career. However, unconfirmed information states that he attended Dwight Eisenhower High school and also the University of Houston.


Seriki chooses the name Chamillionaire which is a blend of chameleon and millionaire. Together with Paul Wall meet Houston based disc jockey Michael 5000 watts who agreed to them performing the intro of his radio show.

They performed favourably and became regulars on Watts shows and mixtapes. Chamillionaire partnered with his friend Paul Wall to release the album Get Ya Mind Correct which sold thousands of copies and won an award.

In 2005, Chamillionaire got signed to Universal Records and released his first solo album titled The Sound of Revenge which debuted on Billboard chart. It had songs such as “Turn It Up” and particularly the single “Ridin” which topped Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy and also MTV awards.

The album went on to be certified Gold by RIAA. He also received more awards for the album.

In order to promote the release of his second album, Chamillionaire released a mixtape titled ‘Mixtape Messiah 3‘ before releasing his second album ‘Ultimate Victory‘ in 2007 which didn’t have any obscene content.

The next year, he planned on releasing his third album titled Venom but had some issues which led to it been delayed. It finally got released in 2011 as a mixtape and Chamillionaire officially left Universal Records that year.

Apart from music, Chamillionaire is also into business as he has investments in auto firms that rents cars. He owns and heads the record label Chamillitary Entertainment.

Chamillionaire also owns a  modelling firm called ”Masterpiece Mind Frame” and also a transport firm to add to his net worth.
