17. Shokaku Class
Shokaku Class warships belonged to the Imperial Japanese Navy in the late 1930s. Japan began building these warships and completed them before the start of the Pacific War in 1941. Although completed, and further described as the “best aircraft carriers in the world”, both Shokaku Class warships were sunk in 1944.

This 804 ft aircraft class carrier is a British built warship, proposed in the 1930s, constructed and fully completed after WW II. The Audacious Class carriers measure 257.6 m (845 ft) and were well modified and diverged throughout their time in service. The ship served the British Navy from 1951 until 1979.

The ship was commissioned in 2014 and is designed to convey and deliver Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) via helicopters and Osprey.
